Mindbliss is the online home of Diana McMahon Collis’s work as a freelance writer, editor, mentor and consultant.
Diana began writing in the early 1990s for a media company in London’s publishing sector, which hired her due to her passion for astrology. She was training in astrology in Bloomsbury at the Company of Astrologers, whose talented tutors also furthered her interest and ability in tarot card reading.
A decade later she helped to found TABI, the Tarot Association of the British Isles. Meanwhile, her first love – writing – led to crafting mind, body and spirit-themed articles, editorial and reviews for magazines, newsletters and websites, as well as writing horoscope columns for newspapers, magazines and online businesses.
Journalistic writing often leads into broadcasting and/or editing. Diana wrote and recorded horoscopes for radio programmes, and edited newsletters for Star Temple and TABI. Her passions for good writing and reading have supported her roles as an editor and mentor to other authors, at Jericho Writers, with whom she has worked since 2009, focussing on practical and narrative non-fiction, including memoir and self-help genres.
An avid fan of self-help approaches, Diana trained in a variety of modalities including reiki, nutrition and crystal healing, and continues to value meditation and mindfulness practice, yoga and strength training. She brings her particular respect for practicality, spirituality and mental application to bear on her work with others, keen to assist in a clear, but kind and gentle way, with those determined to make positive progress.
At Mindbliss you will find information about the three key areas where Diana offers services to clients: writing, editoring/mentoring, and offering email readings as the equivalent of private consultations. She learned how to provide email readings first through the ATA – American Tarot Association – and has since supported tarot readers to do the same at TABI. Whilst she has held successful live classes and mentoring sessions, Diana finds email is also an excellent medium for providing writing and editorial support to authors.
